I train horses and riders for the sport of competitive dressage. I received my first teaching and training credentials from the British Horse Society in 1976. I have continued to work in this field, both as a barn owner and as a freelance trainer, for over three decades. While I am a strong advocate of jumping, trail riding, and just generally having fun with one's horse, my main focus and attentive direction is the sport of dressage. I am qualified to teach by the following National / International organizations:
- 1976 British Horse Society
- 1988 United States Pony Club
- 1995 United States Dressage Federation
I work with all levels of horses and riders. Not all of my students participate in horse shows but all are interested in the gymnastic (physical and mental) development of their horses. My goal is to develop sport riders and sport horses (regardless of breed). Information on pricing, methodology, and my background can be found below. I also have pages dedicated to athletic fitness, writings for pleasure, and contact information. Thanks for visiting. I hope to see you at the barn!
